Hidden

Reverend Francis RitchiePoem2 Comments

I glimpse you, but you are hidden
Hidden in a lingering mist through which I search
Search in a longing for mercy and grace
Grace that whispers quietly, unobtrusively
Unobtrusively while the chains of demand scream
Scream, shout, lie
Lie in the face of your truth
Truth that calls me beyond
Beyond cheap joy that falls short
Short of the wonder of life as you desire
Desire that does not lie, but beckons
Beckons us into the mist
Mist that knows the reality of life
Life that is full of joy and sorrow
Sorrow in brokenness
Brokenness in which you dwell
Dwell in the mist so I may find You
You, my all in all that is them and I
I AM.
