The Orange Bull

Reverend Francis RitchieMiscellanyLeave a Comment

That orange bull rages
Out of control
Havoc in the china shop

Panicked shoppers dive
Antiques smash and crash
He snorts and stomps and bucks
Flatterers dodge and duck and weave and cry

Who let him in?
How to get him out?
Chaos

Flatterers
Snug in their room out back
They were
Eating toffee cake
Laughing noses in the air
Pompous sniggering at the others

Pissed off peasants
Out in the cold
They picked the lock
Whipped the bull inside
Shut and barricaded the door

Thronging and watching
Frantic and angry
Pressed against the steamy window
Hoarse voices cheer and shout
Trumpets sound, cymbals clang

Noise
Confusion
Fear
Anarchy

Hoping the bull will destroy
The precious shelves inside
It drops its horns and charges

Stop!
