So I took my time.
Time to hand grind coffee each morning, time to simply sit and think about nothing, time to be there when my three kids woke up, time to talk to God, time to listen to a universal rhythm of life I had been missing.
Its amazing what you hear when you take time. Everyone hears different things – I heard the sea roll in each day, I heard my wife and kids laughing, I heard myself say life is good.
Too often we distract ourselves, scared of the silence and scared of boredom. Both are the best things we could possibly engage but they can’t be engaged unless we take our time.
