Speaking Engagements

I had a message from someone this morning who heard me on New Zealand’s Rhema and wanted to know if they could hear me speak anywhere. This morning I was on both Rhema with Aaron and on Life FM with George to talk about TEAR Fund’s Syria Crisis Appeal and how we can all help those who are victims of the current conflict there. It’s a conflict that is fast creating the biggest humanitarian disaster of my lifetime. I’d encourage you to put your hand up to help as every little bit counts.

Speaking Engagements

If you’d like to hear me, I have a few speaking engagements coming up across the next week. Here they are:

  • Sunday July 14th (6pm) – I’m speaking at East City Wesleyan in Auckland to close their ‘Word to Auckland’ series. The series has covered topics designed to help inform people ahead of the coming local body elections. It was opened with a talk by the Mayor and has included other great people with their finger on the pulse of what’s happening around the city. I’ve been given the opportunity to wrap it up.
  • Tuesday July 16th (10:15am) – You’ll be able to hear me on New Zealand’s Rhema for an interview that will expand on the issue of Syria a little more than what I did on either station this morning.
  • Wednesday July 17th – I’ll be in Christchurch at the Get Smart conference to deliver a brief workshop with a colleague. We’ll be looking at the issue of human trafficking.
  • Thursday July 18th – I’ll be back in Auckland to do the same workshop at the Get Smart conference here.
  • Friday July 19th – Sunday July 21st – I’ll be the guest speaker at the youth camp for Northcote Baptist Church where I’ll deliver a series of talks that touch on the nature of our union with God and how this should drive our lives of justice. This will include guided contemplative opportunities.
  • Sunday July 21st (5pm) – I’ll be engaged in a conversation at my own local church (Cession|Community) about being a voice for the vulnerable and the voiceless; advocacy. Our service starts with a free meal.
  • Sunday July 21st (9-11pm) – I’ll be on Life FM with George co-hosting a 2hr talkback/call in show on the issue of human trafficking.
  • Monday July 22nd – I’ll probably go and hide in a cave somewhere as the introvert in me will be craving space by then!

Of course, some of those engagements are more open than others, but if you get along to any of them make sure you say hi.
